Frequently asked questions

Everything about FlexGlass, Gel-Armor and Private-Eye — and how to pick the right protector for your phone.

What is FlexGlass?

+

FlexGlass is a screen protector made from plastic film with a proprietary nano-ceramic coating, and it is exclusive to PhoneMe. Its scratch resistance comes close to tempered glass, but because it is flexible it doesn’t crack on its own. It has a long-lasting anti-fingerprint coating and comes in Clear or Matte, for the front of the phone.

How is FlexGlass different from a tempered glass screen protector?

+

Tempered glass protectors are known for cracking on their own, often without any obvious drop or impact, and then need replacing. FlexGlass is a flexible film with a nano-ceramic coating: it gives scratch resistance close to tempered glass, but because it is flexible it doesn’t crack on its own, so it lasts longer.

What is Gel-Armor?

+

Gel-Armor is PhoneMe’s TPU hydrogel screen protector. It self-heals light scratches within 24–48 hours, follows curved screens right to the edge, and absorbs impact. It comes in Clear or Matte and can be ordered for the front, the back, or front and back together.

What is Private-Eye?

+

Private-Eye is PhoneMe’s 180° anti-spy (privacy) screen protector: you see your screen clearly, while people beside you see a dark screen. It is matte and front-only. The material is matched to your phone — thick high-impact plastic for flat screens and flexible TPU for curved-edge screens. Unlike anti-spy tempered glass, which is notorious for cracking on its own, Private-Eye is flexible and doesn’t crack.

Does a privacy (anti-spy) screen protector work with an in-display fingerprint sensor?

+

It depends on the sensor. Private-Eye works with ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensors (for example the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and S25 Ultra), but not with optical in-display sensors, because the anti-spy layer blocks the light an optical sensor needs. Phones with a side-mounted or rear fingerprint sensor, or face unlock only, are not affected. If you’re not sure which sensor your phone has, ask PhoneMe on WhatsApp before you order.

Can I still use Private-Eye if my phone has an optical fingerprint sensor?

+

Yes — plenty of customers choose privacy over fingerprint unlock. Optical in-display fingerprint sensors aren’t compatible with anti-spy protectors, so fingerprint unlock may not work with Private-Eye on these phones. You can still unlock with your PIN, pattern or face unlock (if your phone has it), and the privacy effect works fully. If fingerprint unlock is important to you, we recommend FlexGlass, in Clear or Matte, instead.

How do I know whether my phone has an ultrasonic or optical fingerprint sensor?

+

Check your phone’s official specifications, or message PhoneMe on WhatsApp with your exact model and we’ll check it for you before you order.

Should I choose Clear or Matte?

+

Clear keeps colours and sharpness exactly as your screen shows them. Matte reduces glare and fingerprints and has a smooth, silky feel — popular for gaming and outdoor use. Clear and Matte cost the same. FlexGlass and Gel-Armor come in both; Private-Eye is matte only.

What guarantees does PhoneMe offer?

+

Every PhoneMe protector has two guarantees. Precision guarantee: if the cut doesn’t fit your phone, we re-send a corrected one free of charge. Installation guarantee: if you apply it wrong, we replace the material once — you only pay shipping.

Why buy a 2-piece pack?

+

A 2-piece pack costs less per piece than buying one at a time, so you have a spare ready for later or for a second phone of the same model.

Which phones do you make screen protectors for?

+

PhoneMe precision-cuts protectors for thousands of phone models — including Samsung, Apple iPhone, Xiaomi, Redmi, POCO, OPPO, vivo, realme, Infinix, TECNO, Huawei, HONOR and more. If your phone isn’t listed, you can still order a custom cut.

Can you make a screen protector for a tablet, car head unit or other device?

+

Yes. PhoneMe makes custom cuts for tablets, car audio head units, cameras, smartwatches and other screens. For simple shapes such as rectangles and circles, send a photo of the screen (switched off) taken straight from above with a ruler beside it, via WhatsApp. For complex shapes, scan the device or its old protector on a flatbed scanner at 100% (no scaling), save it as a JPG and email it to hello@phoneme.id — not via WhatsApp, which shrinks images. We then cut it to fit.

How can I pay on the PhoneMe website?

+

Payments go through Midtrans, a licensed Indonesian payment provider. You can pay by QRIS — scan it with OVO, DANA, ShopeePay, GoPay or your mobile banking app — by GoPay, or by bank virtual account (such as Mandiri, BNI, BRI, Permata, CIMB, Danamon, BSI or SeaBank). PhoneMe never sees or stores your banking details.

Where does PhoneMe ship?

+

PhoneMe is based in Indonesia and ships across Indonesia with major couriers. You can see the shipping options and cost for your address at checkout.
